1. European Powder Metallurgy Association Welcome to the EPMA Website - EPMA - Working to Promote Powder Metallurgy.
2. Materials Research Society - Advancing Materials. Improving the Quality of Life MRS MISSION STATEMENT (Adopted by Council -- June, 2000) The Materials Research Society (MRS) is an organization of materials researchers from academia, industry, and government that promotes communication for the advancement of interdisciplinary materials research to improve the quality of life.
3. Sandia National Labs - Materials Science and Engineering Center The Materials Characterization Department, serves our customers by helping them to better understand the structure, composition and properties of materials, by helping them develop better materials for their applications, and by helping them develop lifetime performance predictions for their materials. To accomplish this, we apply spectroscopic and diffraction techniques, light and electron microscopy, metallography, surface analysis, chemical analysis, thermal analysis, and mechanical analysis to characterize materials and components. We also act as a gateway to materials characterization capabilities within and outside of Sandia. We take pride in owning, maintaining and utilizing to the fullest extent the best instrumentation available anywhere. We serve the entire corporation in their material analysis needs and frequently other federal agencies and industry.
4. Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering Material and Process engineering is the technology by which materials are developed or selected and manufacturing processes chosen which will convert those materials into products which meet the design, performance, productibility, quality, and cost effective criteria required.
The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE®), an international professional member society, provides information on new materials and processing technology either via technical forums, journal publications, or books in which professionals in this field can exchange ideas and air their views. As the only technical society encompassing all fields of endeavor in materials and processes, SAMPE provides a unique and valuable forum for scientists, engineers, and academicians.
